"With only about a month to go to what is shaping up to be one of the most exciting festivals this year, headliners at this year's Glade Festival are gearing up for their show-stopping performances. In anticipation for some exclusive live shows, this is what some of the Glade Festival headliners had to say about their forthcoming live sets...

Despite being booked to DJ at another well known festival this year, the Glade Festival is the only UK festival to see Underworld perform live. Underworld had a massive hit with 'Born Slippy' which was featured in the popular 1996 Danny Boyle film 'Trainspotting'. When asked why they chose Glade Festival as their only UK festival performance, front man Karl Hyde said: "We've always had very positive feedback about the organisers of Glade. There seems to be a lot of respect for them as they go the extra mile when putting on events, so, if there was any festival we were going to do it would be the Glade Festival."

When asked about the difference festival goers can expect when hearing them DJ and seeing them perform live Karl said: "Well we've never ever DJed live before. We've DJed on our internet radio show and of course at home but never as a paid gig in front of a public audience. Our DJ set is very eclectic but our live set is a lot more.

"Obviously Glade Festival is the only live UK show where you'll see Underworld the band this year. We can't wait to play live and think it's fantastic Glade Festival have a Funktion 1 soundsystem as they care about sound very much which is important to us."

Warp Records' Squarepusher had this to say: "The Glade is the best festival I have ever played in my life. It's always good to play to people that are up for a party and don't get too bothered about what algorithms you're running! It should be good fun checking out their attempts to translate my new emoto-prog / core-thrash songs into frenetic rave dance moves. Also, I might be premiering a new project there which depends on whether it's anywhere near ready. Could be good!"

Squarepusher can truly be described as a friend and supporter of Glade Festival. 2009 will be the 4th time he has performed at the festival but the first time he has headlined the outdoor stage on a Saturday night. This year he will be playing a full live set with drummer Alex Thomas including material both old and new.

Squarepusher toured Europe in March and April this year and their show at Glade Festival will be the first outdoor performance at a UK Festival. The show will include the interactive visuals that they took on the road in the spring.

In addition to their Glade Stage headline set they have hinted that they may use Glade Festival as an opportunity to showcase some material from their next project on a smaller stage sometime over the weekend. Keep your eyes and ears open!

Meanwhile, German electrohouse duo Booka Shade, famous for the huge club track 'Body Language' (featuring M.A.N.DY) said: "When they asked us to headline Glade Festival we were honoured. It's the perfect occasion to premier our new show. We've got a new set and new stage design and it all kicks off on July 17th." Booka Shade also head up the Get Physical record label.

Finally, Freeland - Adam Freeland's new live band said: "The Glade Festival is the perfect English festival experience that's still ALL about the music"

So, if you want to see some UK exclusive live festival sets, from some of the biggest names in dance music this year, the Glade Festival is where you should be.

Tickets are still available and cost a mere £125 (the same price as last year). All tickets include free on-site camping. Camper & caravans have now sold out, with tickets going on eBay for £492!. Tickets are also now on sale for the VIP boutique Tipi camping area too.

The Glade Festival won Best Dance Festival at last year's UK Festival Awards and is a 10,000 capacity event, visited by dance music and free spirited aficionados from around the world. The Glade Festival is known as one of Europe's best underground electronic festivals and will celebrate its sixth birthday in 2009 after starting life as part of Glastonbury festival (of which it is still a part of)."
